About

A site about defending attention should not be designed to trap it.

Dopamine War exists for people who can feel their ability to begin slow, meaningful work being weakened by compulsive digital habits, but who do not want panic, purity, or exaggerated neuroscience.

The project distinguishes fighting dopamine from defending attention. Dopamine is not the enemy. The problem is an environment built around instant access, endless novelty, weak stopping conditions, and repeated automatic behavior.

The manual emphasizes systems over willpower because environments set defaults. A rule, a device location, a stopping condition, or a prepared first action can protect choice better than another demand to be disciplined.

Dopamine War is intentionally evergreen. There is no feed, community, account, newsletter requirement, streak system, or recurring content treadmill. The site is designed as a finished reference manual: read it, run the audit, build a plan, and leave with fewer automatic decisions.
